The Tiny Lake of Serrières
To begin, let’s talk a bit about the history of the lake of Serrières en Chautagne.
First, the latter was built between 1988 and 1990 on municipal land located in the center of the village.
Thanks to a catchment, the “de la Prairie” stream feeds the body of water. This is why the water then returns to said stream through a valve located at the end.
More precisely with an area of 7,000m2, it has a depth of 2m at the level of the water jet. That said, it is intended for swimming activities, it is supervised in the afternoon during the 2 summer months (July and August).
In addition, the bathing water is of excellent quality because it is continuously renewed. The average temperature is around 20°.

Then, near the beach, you will find a secure playground reserved for children. In addition, there is a petanque court for older children, as well as the campsite restaurant, “ La Paillotte”. Our Bar Restaurant where you can eat and refresh yourself without leaving the lake.
Certainly in the near future, the Campsite will be able to offer a service for the rental and sale of boats and inflatable toys for children.
On the other hand, paddles, canoes and other types of boats are prohibited, as is the bathing of dogs. Dogs must be kept on a leash.
